2006 to 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt Owners Add 15.9 Horsepower with K&N Cold Air Intake System
- Jul 23, 2007
The Chevrolet Cobalt is designed by GM with a strong, stiff platform for crisp
handling and a smooth ride. It is available in a variety of distinct trim levels
in either a two-door coupe or a four-door sedan.
K&N Engineering has designed a new cold air intake (69-4517TTK) in textured black for the 2006 to 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt 2.4 liter engine. Built for performance and show K&N Typhoon Air Intake Systems are proven on a rear-wheel dynamometer to increase horsepower and torque.
K&N dynamometer test shows a 15.94 horsepower gain @ 5900 RPM for this K&N air intake. The radius adapter helps provide smooth air flow into the intake tube. The 69-4517TTK uses the factory Mass Air Flow sensor and a Lifetime K&N High Flow Air Filter (RU-5147).
The heat shield isolates the K&N engine compartment and allows the K&N Air Filter to receive a consistent flow of cool fresh air. The mass air sensor is installed in the K&N intake tube and is an important part of the overall horsepower gain with this system.
The design of the Cobalt played a major roll in the development of this air intake system. K&N Engineering took special care to ensure that it followed the Cobalt's lines.
It takes 90 minutes or less to install most K&N Air Intakes with common tools. K&N Air Intake Systems come with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
