Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) Season Resumes at L.A. County Fairplex

Rockstar Makita Team LeDuc will visit the Los Angeles County Fairplex in Pomona, California for the third time in four months. This weekend, they will begin the second half of the Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) season.

Todd LeDuc swept the Pro 2 races in rounds 5 and 6 of the CORR series in his Ford truck with K&N Engineering products. Those wins followed a pair of fourth-place finishes in the season-opening rounds at Pomona in April. Currently LeDuc is third overall in the CORR Pro 2 point standings.

Todd’s father Curt LeDuc and his younger brother Kyle LeDuc will also start this weekend in Pomona in the CORR Pro 4 class. “I’m going to change the gearing in my truck,” said Curt LeDuc. “Kyle will have a new Pro Power motor package with a different power curve to replace the motor that expired during round 8 of the series in Chula Vista, California.” Team LeDuc will also make changes to the sway bar setup and in their transfer case.

Kyle LeDuc is a former Pro Lite Champion in the Pro 4 class. “This will be a good weekend with our transition to a bigger faster truck,” he said. “It’s a really exciting time and it’s a really busy time for us.”

Curt and Kyle LeDuc drove the Rockstar Makita Ford desert truck to a Class 8 win in the SNORE KC Hilites Midnight Special in Southern Nevada. Team LeDuc will follow this weekend’s Pomona competition by racing in the Best in the Desert’s Las Vegas Pahrump to Reno event.

2007 GMC Yukon XL 2500, 2007 Suburban 2500 Gain 11.62 HP with K&N Air Intake

There are two very large SUVs on the market that are nearly 19 feet long and have the ability to hold up to nine people comfortably. The 2007 GMC Yukon and the 2007 Chevrolet Suburban are considered twins when it comes to design and cargo space.

K&N Engineering has released a performance air intake system (57-3063) that is street legal in 50 states for the 2007 GMC Yukon XL 2500 6 liter V8 engine and the 2007 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 6 liter V8 engine. K&N dynamometer tests show an 11.62 horsepower gain at 5075 rpm.

K&N Engineering has developed a performance air intake system (57-3062) that is street legal in 50 states for the 2006 Isuzu Ascender with a 4.2 liter engine, the 2006 GMC Envoy with a 4.2 liter engine and the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer with a 4.2 liter engine. The original factory tube shape was not efficient for getting the air box to the throttle body. K&N’s placement of the mass air sensor, the dimensions of the intake tube and use of a K&N air filter (RU-4730) are the reasons for the additional horsepower.
